They cite statistics saying that 16 percent of children 6 and are overweigh, a rate that is triple the number in the 1980s. The correlation proves their point they say.
They also point to statistics showing that kids eat out an average of four times a week, often consuming high calorie fast food. Some working mom's say they are too tired to cook when they get home.
But other working moms say it is ridiculous to blame them that too many other factors influence children's weight.
And experts say that no matter what else is going on that children aren't burning enough calories. They say bring physical education to the schools, get kids moving and the weight will come off, or at least not go on in the first place.
