| New York, NY (AHN)- A new study reveals that people with symptomatic asthma eat less fruit and consume less vitamin C and manganese than people who don't have the disease | | A new study finds that pregnant women who take large amounts of vitamins C and E do not decrease their risk of preeclampsia, a dangerous pre-natal complication. HealthDay News reports 2,000 women who were pregnant for the first time participated in the study | | A recent study shows that women who eat more vegetables and fruits have a better chance of preventing the breast cancer from returning. Researchers followed more than 1,500 women, beginning on average two years after the women finished treatment for early-stage breast cancer. Initial tests confirmed that women with higher levels of carotenoids in their blood ate more vegetables and fruits | | Two soft-drink companies were sued Tuesday by parents complaining there may be cancer-causing benzene in their soft drinks. Attorneys filed class-action lawsuits against the companies in Suffolk Superior Court in Boston and Leon County Circuit Court in Tallahassee, Fla.
