The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning consumers that the ongoing recall of all Peter Pan peanut butter and all Great Value peanut butter products beginning with product code 2111 has been extended to all those purchased since October 2004 versus 2006.

The FDA warns consumers to discard all of these affected products.

A recent, extensive inspection of the manufacturing plant, ConAgra (Sylvester, GA) was found to harbor the salmonella-tainted peanut butter products, which were positively confirmed as being contaminated within the plant environment.

ConAgra continues to fully cooperate with the FDA in their investigation and has already discontinued production of these foods in addition to recalling all of the products that have already been sold.
