Under-16 Abortion Rate Hits An All-Time High In Britain

Abortion rates are rising the fastest in young girls in Britain, some of them barely teenagers, official figures show.

Figures released Thursday by the Department of Health indicate that as many as 84 children underwent abortions every week in Wales and England in 2007. The figures also showed that three out of these 84 kids were below 14 years of age

A study conducted at the University of Mississippi revealed that the active ingredient in marijuana has risen over the decades. Two Spanish Children Get Clinically Treated For Phone Addiction

Two Spanish children have been sent to a mental health institution by their parents to get treatment for addiction to their mobile phones. The children had allegedly ceased to undertake normal activities without first having their phones.

The children, aged 12 and 13, were admitted to Child and Youth Mental Health Centre in Lleida, in northeastern Spain near Barcelona, three months ago. Their concerned parents brought them in after they spend an average of six hours a day on their phones, talking, texting or playing games

Report: Fewer Adolescents In The U.S. Indulge In Drinking, Smoking, Sex

Today's teenagers appear to be more behaved than their counterparts 16 years ago. According to a Center for Disease Control and Prevention report, lesser adolescents now indulge in drinking, smoking or sex.

But some ethnic groups are more prone to juvenile delinquent behavior, particularly Hispanics, the study said.
