One In Six Women Are Victims Of Domestic Violence

Dr. Kevorkian Seeks Pardon

A lawyer for the man known as Doctor Death is asking the governor of Michigan to pardon the 77-year-old former doctor. For the third straight year, an attorney for Jack Kevorkian is asking Governor Jennifer Granholm and the state's parole board to either grant the assisted-suicide advocate a pardon or commute his sentence.

Kevorkian is serving a 10- to 25-year sentence for second-degree murder for giving a fatal injection of drugs to a man who was suffering from Lou Gehrig's disease in 1998. It was one of more than 130 assisted suicides in which Kevorkian claims to have taken part
