A new study has found that if a person wants to remember information they should simply take a nap.

Israel's University of Haifa brain researcher Avi Karni conducted new research which explores the possibility that naps help people to lock in sometimes fleeting long-term memories. The study finds that a 90-minute daytime nap might help to regenerate the memory.

Karni said, "We still don't know the exact mechanism of the memory process that occurs during sleep, but the results of this research suggest the possibility that it is possible to speed up memory consolidation. In the future, we may be able to do it artificially."

Memories that stay with us and remember for years, such as "what" memories is what we refer as long-term memory.

Meanwhile, "how to" memories refer to a car accident that happened yesterday or such as a person's ability to play the piano or a game of soccer.
