| The Clinton Foundation has forged a deal with six drug makers to sell anti-malaria medicine at a fixed lower price to make it globally affordable to poor patients suffering the disease. The charity formed by former U.S. President Bill Clinton announced the deal Thursday with two Chinese suppliers of artemisinin and four Indian firms that process the anti-malaria drug ingredient into finished products | | France will test the groundwater on all of its nuclear facilities. The French government agreed to examine the safety after previous tests indicated a uranium leak at the Tricastin nuclear plant in southwestern France. The source of the leak of non-enriched uranium was an overflow from a tank being cleaned on July 7. The reservoir collected the overflow, of which 7,925 gallons (30,000 liters) seeped into two nearby rivers and the ground | | - A new law will go into effect on July 1 banning smoking tobacco indoors throughout the Netherlands. What this means for Amsterdam's historic coffee shops, where smoking tobacco laced with marijuana is more of the main draw, remains up for debate. According to reports, coffee shop owners say the new ban should not effect them because 'coffee shops' are a place where people go to smoke.
