| A new study reported at the International Conference on AIDS in Toronto on Sunday found that adding a fourth drug to the current triple-cocktail is no better for the treatment of newly diagnosed patients with HIV. The August 16 issue of the Journal of American Medical Association says, that the addition of a fourth drug, abacavir, did not lower the amount of the virus in patient blood.
