National Zoo Removes Birds From Petting Farm

The National Zoo has removed the chickens and ducks from its children's petting farm to protect visitors from possible contraction of bird flu.

Although none of the birds are infected with the virus and there have been no reports of infection in either birds or humans in North America, the zoo is transferring the 18 ducks and 27 chickens in its Kids' Farm exhibit to its research center in Front Royal, VA, as a precaution
