| A new UK charity report states millions of children whose mothers are living with HIV/Aids do not receive enough long-term care and support. Save the Children has found up to nine million children lost their mothers to HIV/Aids. But, an FDA warning last year, that said women who took the SSRI paroxetine (Paxil) during the first trimester had an increased risk of birth defects and might develop transient withdrawal symptoms, has many women reconsidering their options | | Researchers find that pregnant women who take higher than recommended doses of vitamin D significantly lower the risk of bearing children with wheezing illnesses. Carlos A. Camargo, M.D., Dr.Ph., of Harvard, says expectant moms who take about 724 IU per day of vitamin D halve the risk of having a child that would develop a wheezing illness by age three.
