Makers of the My Food Phone cell phone diet service instruct dieters to take pictures of what they are about to eat with their camera-phones, e-mail them to the service site with a brief description, where a registered dietician will receive and review it.

The Web site's dieticians monitor user photos and food journals and respond with comments and suggestions on how to improve their eating habits in order to ensure healthly weight loss.

One fault in the process includes the inability for cell phone pictures to accurately portray the portion sizes of meals.

The service costs $100 per month and works in conjuction with any cell phone brand and service.
