North Houston's Pappasito's Cantina proved to be a popular place to eat Tuesday.

After a hepatitis A alert sounded for anyone who ate there in late January and early February hundreds of people showed up at the Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services Department for vaccinations.

By Tuesday morning 261 people had registered for the vaccine after the health advisory was issued on Sunday.

The advisory called for anyone who ate at the restaurant located at 15280 Interstate 45 North on Jan. 23-27; Jan. 30-31; and Feb. 1, 3, 7, 8 and 9 to get vaccinated.

Anyone exposed to hepatitis A must receive shots within two weeks after exposure. After that they can be treated with antibodies, according to Dr. Herminia Palacio of the Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services Department.
