Pfizer: Viagra Is Not Linked To Blindness

Despite being linked to a rare eye disease, medical researchers rule Viagra does not increase the risk of blindness. Pfizer, Inc. says it is in talks with U.S. regulators about revising the label on the erectile dysfunction drug to reflect eye disease.

The eye condition is known as non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION). The FDA concludes no causal relationship between Viagra and NAION has been established.
