| Breastfeeding can positively enhance the IQ of children when combined with the right genes, a British study has found. Children with one version of the FADS2 gene scored seven points higher on IQ tests if they were breastfed as compared to those who did not have the gene. The gene, which is inherited from both the mother's and father's side, helps break down fatty acids from the diet that have been linked with brain development. The FADS2 gene comes in two versions: C and G. Scientists found that children inherit either two of the C version, one each of C and G, or two of the G version | | A team of 20 doctors, including surgeons, successfully separated a one-week-old conjoined twins in a five-hour operation at a hospital in southern Philippines on Tuesday. Pediatricians of the Davao Medical Center in Davao City and other medical specialists of the city separated Myla and Myka Praile, who were joined in their intestines. Mae Christina Astley, 25 gave birth to three girls Amy, Kim and Zoe by Caesarean in western Austria on Monday. The babies, which were delivered four weeks' prematurely at 33rd week of pregnancy, weigh 3.3 pound each. The surgery has sparked controversy around the country and state and medical authorities have led an investigation into the matter.
