Ebola Outbreak In Uganda Over, U.S. Experts Find Virus As New Strains

Health authorities in Uganda have declared the Ebola hemorrhagic fever outbreak in the country is over.

According to a World Health Organization statement Thursday, the last person in Uganda infected by the deadly virus was discharged from a hospital on Jan. 8. No incident of the disease occurred after that date or after 42 days, which is twice the maximum Ebola incubation period of 21 days

Deadly Ebola Outbreak Responsible For Killing 160 In Congo Since August

A deadly outbreak of Ebola in south eastern Congo Killed more than 160 people in Congo since late August, according to The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Nearly 400 have been infected, officials said Monday.

Health Minister Makwenge Kaput said on national television the virus is the Ebola hemorrhagic fever, and Mweka and Luebo are the two most affected areas
