| According to a new survey, Americans underestimate the flu's severity and discount dehydration treatment threatening to leave them at an elevated risk during this flu season. The new national "Zicam Flu Survey" of physicians and consumers across the country is designed to examine the attitudes and actions of physicians and consumers about flu, and uncover a potentially dangerous doctor- patient disconnect regarding the perception of flu's severity leaving millions of people with their guard down | | Young people who are exposed to advertisements for alcohol are likely to drink more, according to a U.S. study. The journal Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine reports they found that for each extra advert experienced a month, 1 percent more drinks were consumed | | According to Government statistics, nearly one in ten American teenagers experienced major depression last year. The results also show that depressed youths are more likely to smoke, drink alcohol or abuse drugs.
