Researchers Find Contagious Cancer In Dogs

Researchers have discovered what appears to be a primarily sexually-transmitted cancer that spreads among dogs. The researchers said humans do not have to worry about being infected with the cancer, which they have labeled canine transmissible venereal tumor (CTVT).

HealthDay News reports that Robin Weiss, professor of viral oncology at University College London, said, "It's a scientific curiosity. Prevalence Of Rabies Causes Mass Extermination Of Dogs In China

Officials say 54,429 dogs were killed in Yunnan in an effort to put an end to rabies. Authorities in Moudin County in southwestern Yunnan province ordered mass extermination of dogs, pets and strays when three people died in a rabies outbreak.

Processed Meat May Increase Risk Of Stomach Cancer
