Best Beginnings, a charity which focuses on promoting breastfeeding, held a poster-making contest for students at the Central St. Martin's School of Art and Design.
According to Alison Baum, founder of Best Beginnings, the charity recognize that breasts are sexual but also has other purposes. It can be beneficial in one's relationship with both her partner and her baby.
An exhibit called "Get Britain Breastfeeding" will be held from May 2-11 at the Old Truman Brewery in East London. The exhibition features the collected works of the participants in the competition, produced by Best Beginnings in cooperation with the London division of the National Health Service, an educational charity, and London physician Dr. William Wynn-Jones.
The exhibit is designed to provide increased awareness of natural infant feeding. Counseling on breastfeeding will also be made available during the exhibit. Peer support workers will be attending the event as well.
