The country's health minister Jose Gomes Temporao told the Russian Information Agency, a total of 121 people have passed away this year due to break bone fever or most commonly known as Dengue.
Report said that a total of 480,000 cases of dengue have been reported in the Brazil's' health office for the first nine months of the year.
Temparao said that the said figure is a total of 50% increase last year.
As this develops, a campaign against dengue was launched by the health department, in order to win the war against it.
Dengue Fever is found in the tropics and Africa, with a geographical spread similar to malaria, but the only difference is that latter often eradicated in major cities, where as dengue is often found in urban areas of developed tropical nations.
Persons affected with dengue will experience severe flu like symptoms, excruciating muscle and joint pain, high fever, nausea and rashes.
Brazil is part of tropical South America, which comprises most of the continent apart from the southernmost part. The diseases found in this area are similar to those found in humid areas in Africa and Asia.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), some two and a half billion people - approximately two fifths of the world's population - are now at threat from dengue the report added.
