A recent study has revealed fish that's broiled or baked helps people protect themselves against heart ailments. The study was conducted by scientists at the American Heart Association.

Fried fishe contain only lesser amounts of omega-3 fatty acids, reported AP, quoting the study. Omega-3 fatty acids are a kind of "healthy" fat responsible for enhancing cholesterol and other cardiac risk factors.

"All fish meals may not be equal", Dr Dariush Mozaffarian of the Harvard Medical School told AP. The study has further observed, "A diet high in fish has been linked to lower level of heart disease."

That's why the Heart Association recommends, "two or more weekly servings - especially of oily fish, like salmon and tuna that are mainly high in the omega-3 fatty acid," reports AP.
