More pediatric HIV drugs need to be manufactured for the tens of thousands of children in China suffering from the disease, an AIDS activist says, adding that the most vulnerable were not getting enough drugs from the state.

Antiretroviral drugs, which help prevent HIV replication and lengthen the lives of people who have the virus, are not widely produced in for children. South African HIV Prisoners Stage Hunger Strike

More than 500 HIV positive inmates at the Westville prison in Durban, South Africa have begun a mass hunger strike to demand free HIV treatment.

According to the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC), more than 20 inmates have died in the prison because of HIV/Aids related infections in the past three months.
