The Avian flu, which is deadly to humans, was found in these three birds in the Bavarian city of Nuremberg, Germany.
Three other wild birds (two more swans and one Canadian goose) have also been found dead within the last few days in the same area. They all tested positive for the bird flu strain.
The officials stated that they were not surprised at their findings after the recent news of an outbreak at a turkey farm in the Czech republic.
The Bavarian health officials claim that there is no cause for alarm to the public as they state there is no danger to humans from these events.
However, animal movement and restrictions have taken place in the area. Monitoring will be made as officials stay alerted.
The last prior case reported in Germany was in August 2006 in a swan at a zoo located in Dresden.
The World Health Organization statistical data have confirmed a total of 313 humans infected worldwide by the deadly Avian flu, with a total of 191 deaths of these cases.
