The Ministry has identified three classes of infectious diseases such as Class A (plague and cholera), Class B (25 infectious diseases including viral hepatitis) and Class C (10 infectious diseases such as influenza).
Records showed that the fatalities suffered mostly from A and B categories, with the top killer diseases such as rabies, tuberculosis, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, AIDS, syphilis, diarrhea, gonorrhea and newborn tetanus.
During the months in review, the Health department revealed that some 835, 273 cases were registered.
The Ministry likewise expressed alarm over rabies, which for the past two years has been the top killer among the identified infectious diseases in the mainland.
